Visitor Visa

Through the Provincial Nominee Program, provinces and territories can nominate foreign nationals to apply for permanent residence based on specific and topical requirements.

Self Employed Program

The Self-Employed Class is for use by applicants who have relevant experience, as well as the intention and the ability to create their own employment and make a significant contribution to the cultural, artistic or athletic life of Canada, or to create their own employment by purchasing and managing a farm in Canada.

A successful applicant is one who has at least two years of experience in the five-year-period prior to applying for self-employment in cultural activities or in athletics; participation at a world-class level in cultural activities or athletics; or farm management experience.

You can get more points if you have 3, 4, or 5 years of experience.

Rural & Northern Pilot Program

The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot is designed to help bring new skilled immigrants to smaller communities. This five-year federal immigration pilot program is designed to help smaller communities with aging populations and labour shortages, which struggle to attract and retain new immigrants.

To be included in the pilot, communities must:

Have a population of 50,000 or less and be located at least 75km from the core of a Census Metropolitan Area, OR
Have a population of up to 200,000 people and be considered remote from other larger cities, according to the Statistics Canada Remoteness Index.

EXPRESS ENTRY

The Express Entry involves two steps:

Complete an online Express Entry profile, be placed in a federal pool of candidates based on individual ranking using a point-based system (Comprehensive Ranking System).
Receive Invitation To Apply (ITA) for permanent residence from IRCC upon fulfilling eligible and admissibility requirements.

PNP

Applying to immigrate to Canada as a Permanent Resident under the provincial programs is a two-step process:

Applicants will receive a PNP nomination.
The nomination can be used to boost Express Entry profile with added points and thus improving chances of getting an ITA.

Experience Class

To qualify for the CEC through Express Entry, you need:

At least 12 months of skilled work experience in Canada, in the last three years before application.
The work was full-time or an equal amount in part-time in Canada on proper authorization.
Take approved language test and meet minimum requirements.

FEDERAL SKILLED WORKER (FSW)

Applicants need at least 67 points to be eligible to apply.
Skilled workers are chosen as Permanent Residents based on their education, work experience, English or French language skills, and other factors.
If you score 67 or higher (out of 100), you may qualify to immigrate to Canada as a Federal Skilled Worker.
If you score lower than 67 points, you won’t qualify.
